| Yay!! My favourite laptop in the world now has a desktop brother Think of the possibilities now!! Absolutely silent and tiny media pc's, a pc that fits in your pocket you can set up with a projector on tour etc etc, awesome!! - Quote :
- Yes, it does look remarkably [Where’s my solicitor?] like a Nintendo Wii but it’s a fully functioning PC that will run the same Linux OS as its portable cousin. It will have a 160GB hard disk drive and 2GB of Ram but it’s still unclear whether it will be using the much-hyped Intel Atom processor.

- This model looks to be a lot thinner than the small Asus EP20 PC shown off at Cebit a few months back and there’s no information, as of yet, whether the Ebox will get the same Windows XP option provided on the new Eee laptop.
The price though is rumoured to be a very friendly $300 (around £150) – just not here, obviously. It will be launched officially next week at the Computex Show in Taipei and we’ll have full details then.-Martin Lynch

- The 90-805R from Earth Trek doesn’t exactly qualify as a pico-projector, but it is apparently the world’s smallest non-embedded projector, and is actually portable enough to fit in your pocket.
I wouldn’t get your hopes up in terms of image quality, but it is capable of creating a 22” screen which from a device measuring 105×58x25mm and weighing just 160 grams is quite impressive.
There are A/V inputs here to stream video content from portable devices like laptops and smartphones, though there’s also a Trans Flash memory card slot which presumably allows you to connect a storage device full of video content to play back directly.
It only supports MP4 formats and the battery won’t last much over two hours but considering the size of the thing (and the fact that most projectors aren’t exactly energy efficient) that doesn’t sound half bad.
