I have been working on this on and off for about a fortnight now.
Its meant to be an L37, as yet i havent put any sort of trigger mech on it. I am learning lots as i go along, and my next step is to make another one but 'slimmer'. Apprently i need it to be 4-8000 polys and i am on about 35k!!! Never mind
I will show you my new and improved one in a few weeks when i have gotten better at the process.

Lol, i should be so lucky, with 35k polys you'd need about 18 graphics cards

I think i am starting to get the hang of this malarky now, this is a fin round i have been doing at different stages. The idea is i hope to end up with a finished round that is coloured and animated so when it flies out the gun all the petals fly off along with the driving band and the cup on the base. Leaving the dart to fly to the target

Nice work Undies. I should really get back into mapping but cannot be hooped at the minute, maybe a bit of modelling (with my devilishly handsome looks) is the way forward.

Bloody hell, you are going some.
Having never done any gunnery training at your level I guess that you get the basics of what happens when a round is fired. Are you trying to get your animations approved and used by Lulworth?

Back to the drawing board, i decided to make another gun now i have learned where the boolean tool is!! This is my WIP of an L22A2, on 1189 polys with SUSAT, pistol grip and gas parts to go. How can i change the background colour of these pics?

you should get this added to v8 as crewman kit works the same as A2 so it should just be a model change.

Use the tutorials to make a few chess pieces, you learn a lot. Then make something simple like a box., honestly mate, it is similar to ComBAT, you need to just play with it

The pawn and the knight are the best ones. Then having just been in the same boat as you i would get ambitious, you will learn tons from overkill, that gimpy i did was 35,000 polys when it should have been 3.5k, i learnt a lot and the carbine is now on 3800 polys and its almost done
